Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa Maldives has introduced Private Sandbank Dining, a one-couple experience available once each evening on a nearby sandbank reached by boat. Set away from the resort and surrounded by the Indian Ocean, the evening is timed to begin before sunset.
On arrival, guests are served a cheese platter with unlimited cocktails or wine while they watch the sunset. Dinner follows on the sandbank.
Menu and price
The multi-course menu opens with an oyster with green apple and Tabasco granita. Starters offer a choice of scallop tiradito with cucumber, tiger’s milk and mango relish, or a seared tuna Niçoise salad. The soup course is either Thai coconut chicken soup or Moroccan spiced lentil and vegetable soup.
For the main course, guests select between harissa-spiced salmon with roasted red pepper coulis, burnt lemon yoghurt and herbed couscous, or a Surf n Turf Sirloin pairing chargrilled beef with chilli garlic tiger prawns, smoked paprika béarnaise and Parmesan truffle mashed potatoes. A lemon sorbet is served as a palate cleanser.
Dessert is a choice of a cinnamon pineapple tart with passion fruit coulis, or a pistachio cream roll with raspberry vanilla Chantilly, crumble and petit four.
Private Sandbank Dining is priced at USD 475 nett per couple.
